About the USO
Since 1941, the USO has stood beside service members from the moment they enlist through every stage of their service. It was founded on the idea that the strength of the nation lies in the people willing to defend it, and that those people deserve to be supported in return. Today, the organization operates more than 250 centers across 55 states and territories and 134 countries, delivering care packages, entertainment, transition support, and programs that reach millions of military families each year.
The numbers tell the story clearly. The USO has distributed 350,000 care packages across 90 countries and provided programs and services to more than 11 million service members and their families. One of the most far-reaching nonprofits in American history, with a singular focus: the people who serve.
